Today us National Poetry Day in the UK and the this year's theme is Freedom. There are many kinds of freedom and freedom is relative but many of us have felt a little broken on times. I wrote this poem at one of those times. Writing it down lifted me and I hope you find it uplifting too.

Please God fix these broken wings, That I might learn to fly again. I don't ask to fly as high as Eagles, Just to rise above the clamour of worldly things.
